And the big thing I forgot to say....

We are now DEBT FREE, thanks to Dave Ramsey.  You may or may not know of him or agree with part of his message, but I will say that after reading his books Total Money Makeover  and Financial Peace, Revisited, our financial life has certainly changed.  The blinders came off, we applied his "gazelle like intensity" to our situation and turned it around.  Not that it was bad....but like most Americans, it wasn't so hot, either.

Suze Orman and other financial gurus are giving the same advice as Dave is and it couldn't be MORE IMPORTANT than right now, considering what our economy is doing.

We have never felt better....

Wishing all of you financial peace....

A fortnight ago????

Geeze, what in the world? A fortnight plus one since I posted.  Sort of scary that that much time can pass and you don't even realize it.  Or, perhaps the adage of "time passes quickly when you're having a good time" is at the root of all of this.  And yes, I've still had tons of happy things to think about but just haven't come back to blog about them until now.

Some happy fun I've been having....

Yard stuff. Lasagna gardening (no till gardening).  Collecting people's yard detritus to put into my beds, FOR FREE!!!!!  Now just waiting for our "last frost" date of April 15 so I can plant some veggies and flowers!

Having my wonderful hubby help me with the yard stuff, which is REALLY special because he HATES yard work/stuff.  Xoxoxo to J.

EASTER!!!!!

Quick trip to Cannon Falls, MN to meet with the WONDERFUL design team I work with at Seasons of Cannon Falls to plan for Christmas 09 collection!  It is really going to be FUN!

Finding out that I'll probably always be pulled aside to be "wanded" at the airports because my bionic knee will be setting off the alarm!  (The fun will be to see which airport has the nicest "scanners" when they yell, "FEMALE ASSIST, FEMALE ASSIST!!!")

Last, but not least....knowing there are only 7 more days till I meet up with my Pfattie gal pals in Northern California for our five day Pfatt Pfest.  12 women in one house with 2.5 bathrooms....I know there will be tales to tell!

Continuing on the happy theme...

Five more happy things....

1. The smell of newly cut lawns.

2. Campari tomatoes from Sam's (they're almost like summer tomatoes all year long.  Almost.)

3. The smell of freshly turned dirt.

4. Mounds of chopped leaves and grass ready for my "lasagna bed".

5. Accomplishing (most) of what I set out to do yesterday. Will finish up the last project today!

Our days are warming up rapidly here...it will be 77 and sunny today, March 13.  I will be outside as much as I can!

Have a happy day!

Don't worry, BEE happy!

Can writing down five things a day that make you happy, make you even HAPPIER?

When I read this in our local paper I thought "well, why not?" so I signed up here to record my daily happy thoughts.  I know I could do it on the blog but wanted to see how the networking feature of the site worked AND wanted to support this venture, too.

We were busy bees in the yard this past weekend, which made me VERY HAPPY.
